TODAY & TONIGHT WILL BE OUR MONTHLY SINGING

The Sunday School (lesson on prayer) was outstanding. I enjoyed Sister Donna Crossno's teaching - the time I could be in there. As pastor, I want to encourage everyone to put forth the effort to be in Sunday School.

The worship was great today. The Praise and Worship Team had songs ready and everyone was in their place ready to go. Thank God for leaders who are prepared and in their place ready to worship. The message today, "Let This Mind Be In You. . ." challenged each of us to have spiritual minds, healthy thinking, minds like Christ's mind, lowly minds not low-down minds. We thank God for the new ones who continue to come and be a part of our services. We thank God for the ones who were in the altar today. Sister Kim Byars came forward for prayer for tests she will be having in Memphis this coming week. She is asking everyone to pray for her as she will be in testing starting tomorrow at 10 am. Sister Susie Reynolds came forward for prayer for healing of diabetes and damaged disks in her back from an auto accident. Continue to pray for her.

After church this morning, Sister Karen and I were invited to have birthday dinner with the Reynolds and Rivera families. We were there from 1-3 pm. It was the birthday celebration of Josie Rivera. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sister Josie. We missed Brother Paul Rivera. He is working out of state with his company for a few weeks. Sister Josie said he called her on her birthday. We will be glad when Brother Paul gets back and is in church with us again.

AT 6 pm tonight is our monthly singing. We enjoy these times to share with each other in testimony, song, poem, recitation, or some other significant reading. Each who desires can share with the congregation tonight. We also have a guest singer coming. I left it as a surprise but some of our people already know that Brother Ronnie Eaton (former member here at Huntingdon and minister of music) is scheduled to be with us tonight. He and Sister Debbie are special to us and we welcome them "home." They were members here for about 20 years before moving to Jackson, TN last fall. We miss them but know that God is using them in Jackson.
