THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2006

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. This morning I walked for over an hour meditating and praying. There is much to pray about and the Holy Spirit leads us in praying and helps us with prayers that we do not even understand. O how we need the precious Holy Spirit to lead, guide, teach, comfort, and show us the things of Christ. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for giving your Son. . . .

Jesus, Jesus, How I trust Him
How I've Proved Him O'er and O'er
Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus
O for grace to trust Him More. . . . .

Rex and Lori Worman called this morning asking how they could help in the upcoming Ham Breakfast/Brunch for the youth fund to help needy youth attend youth camp. They were so kind to donate fresh eggs, orange juice, frozen bicuits, coffee and a jar of honey. We are so thankful for people who are involved in the work of the church. We are blessed to have people who are willing to spend and be spent for the Lord. The Wormans are a blessing to the church here. Rex and Lori have been attending now for about 4 months and we are glad they are here. WE WELCOME THE WORMANS TO OUR LOCAL CHURCH FAMILY!

I met with Reverand Chuck Burks today. I continued to share some of our church web sites and other pertinent information about the Church of God of Prophecy. Also, we continued to discuss his ministry here at the church. He and his wife desire to minister in the local church here. Dr. Burks has written books on marriage, spiritual disciplines and being a pastor. He has volunteered to minister here for as long as the Lord will allow him to continue in ministry here in this area. He is open to the Lord's call to move to another church to pastor or assist as the door is open. For now, he and his wife have become a part of our local assembly and we are thankful for this couple who so willingly give of themselves in ministry. AGAIN, WE WELCOME REVERAND CHUCK BURKS AND WIFE RAGENE TO OUR CHURCH FAMILY. He is planning to attend the District Pentecostal Power Meeting this Sunday evening at the Paris church. I plan to introduce Dr. Burks to State Overseer, Dr. E. C. McKinley. Dr. Burks has a web site. Go here New Life Christian Ministries

God is blessing here at Huntingdon and we are so thankful for His presence, power and providence. To Him be glory for ever and for ever and for ever. AMEN!
