SUNDAY FEB. 12, 2006

Today was another glorious day in the Lord. Some were out because of the inclement weather. Others were traveling but for those of us who were there, we experienced the glorious presence of the Lord. The series on "Walking In the Spirit - Pressing Into The Kingdom of God" was continued today with the fruit of the Spirit - goodness as the emphasis. We were challenged to have more than a form and to let the goodness of Jesus Christ flow out from us to others in our day to day lives.

Reverand Chuck Burks and wife Ragene were introduced today as ministers who are now a part of the local church at Huntingdon. I am working with Brother Chuck as we discuss plans for his ministry in discipleship and music here at the church. Thank God for sending workers in the harvest. When we pray for laborers, we can be sure that God will answer.

A covenant Sunday is planned in the next several weeks. Those who have covenanted with the church will be asked to renew their covenant of membership and those who desire to covenant as new members will be given the open door to fellowship and ministry in the local body.

Karen and I visited some this afternoon before church time. We visited and prayed with Brother Leon and Siste Susie Reynolds who are sick. We went to visit the Jeff Davis family but no one was at home. We left a card and a note. We visited with Josh and Carla Lawton. I met Josh but Carla was getting ready to leave for work. We invited Josh and famil to our services.

It is a glorious day to be alive and laboring the vineyard of the Lord. God bless . . . .
