Sunday, January 21, 2007

Thank the Lord for another great Sunday as the Holy Spirit moved in the house. The theme for this month "Stewardship" has brought challenges and encouraged new opportunities for those who are serious about serving God with all they are and all they have; as the Psalmist cried, "bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name." The Apostle admonishes, "present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. . ."

This Sunday the emphasis was "Stewarship of Gifts/Ministry." We thank God for those who are seeking God for direction in ministry and for those who have taken the challenge to minister in the gift God has graciously given to them - "as every man (everyone) has received the gift, so let them minister. . ."

God continues to give us strength and direction in the ministry at Huntingdon. We thank the Lord for the new teen class that now has four students. I am currently teaching this class and we are praying for the Lord to bless someone to be the regular teacher. Next Sunday there will be a youth fellowship after the Sunday worship service. Brother Paul Rivera, Youth Minister, and I will be ordering pizza and there will be games and fellowship.

Last evening's service was blessed of the Lord as we worshipped and glorified the King of Kings. The service highlight was when people lifted their hands, praying and worshipping around the altar and ministering to each other - for this we say - glory to God!. . .

It was good to see Sister Joyce Grace again. We found out that she now lives in Clarksburg and will have the opportunity to visit in the near future. WELCOME BACK HOME SISTER JOYCE! WE MISSED YOU AND WE LOVE YOU!
