UPDATE - YESTERDAY AND TODAY

During the day yesterday, I did some running for the church business needs and also visited two of the neighbors up the street. I invited them to church and also told them about our soft drink sales. So far we are seeing a good amount of soft drink cases to sell.

Karen and I visited with Don and Kathy yesterday evening. I did some more counseling with them. Their wedding is scheduled for next Tuesday, July 4 at 10 am in the church sanctuary. Their reception will be at their home in Martin at 1 pm. The rehearsal is scheduled for 7 pm Monday, July 3rd in the church sanctuary.

After taking care of some office work and doing some studying early this morning, Karen and I (along with our guest, Stacy Long, who is visiting with us while his wife works in Youth Camp and his daughter attends as well) went to the Land Between the Lakes and visited with Brother Leon and Sister Susie Reynolds who invited us to come for a visit where they are camping. We had a great visit and enjoyed cooking out and the fellowship with his family. The weather was awesome as a cool front brought the temperature down into the 70's today. I enjoyed a time of sitting by the TN/KY lake and listening to the waves come in (actually I fell asleep and slept for a while). Karen went into the water with Celinas, the Reynolds granddaughter. They had a great time. The Reynolds are very faithful in the work of the church and in supporting the ministry here. We love and appreciate this family.

We got back home around 7 pm. We had a sandwich for supper and rested a while. I have been doing more office work and studying. Almost time for the "sack." Thanks for stopping by and God bless. . . . . .
