WORLD MISSION MONTH

Today is the first day of World Mission Month . In the Fall, October is the month and in the Spring, March is the month. Our Harvest Partner is Uganda/Sudan, Africa. Bishop Ntezimana James is the Overseer. This month we will be praying and building our offering to send to them. These nations are in great need of funding and much prayer. We want to do our best for these nations where they often do without eating for days.

When Bishop James was visting in our home he told of a time when he visited one of his pastors in a very poverty stricken area. The pastor's son was very sick and weak from not eating. A child cannot grow without food and they are more susceptible to sickness when they don't have nutrition. Bishop James said, "All I could do was pray as we watched the boy die in the pastor's arms." Yes we know the bible speaks of famine and it is certain but it also speaks of giving to those in need. May God burn in us the desire to give as God directs. God loves a cheerful giver and he will bless those who give out of love and obedience in more ways than anyone could every imagine.
