I received the following email from Juanita Weakley, wife of former Tennessee State Overseer, Eugene Weakley. They served Tennessee for fourteen years. They were great encouragers and prayer warriors during the times I went through cancer surgery.
"Thank you so much Brother Gordon. I just came in from the doctor in Nashville and I am scheduled for 9/30/08. Be sure to be praying for me at that time, the surgery is to be about 3 hours, per the doctor. I know that the Lord will be with me in the surgery, he always has and always will. I love you much," J Weakley
