HUNTINGDON CHURCH OF GOD OF PROPHECY HOMECOMING, 2005

The Homecoming was great. There was singing, preaching, fellowship, worship, "dinner on the grounds," and recognition of those who have worked so diligently in the past to bring the church where it is today. We were blessed by the local talent of Lori, Denise and Delilah.

The Southern Gospel singing group, By Faith, sang under the anointing. The songs, "There Is A Land," and the newer version of "Jesus Use Me" have been played and made popular on the area gospel radio stations. We were greatly blessed by their ministry. They are from Manchester, Tennessee and will bless any church that has them for a singing.

Dr. E. C. McKinley, State Overseer of The Church of God of Prophecy in Tennessee, preached a powerful and pertinent message from Luke chapter 15. His message dealt with the lost sheep, the lost coin, the two wayward sons and the loving Father. He reminded us that the Father loves each of us regardless of past sins, just as he loved the son who left home and spent his inheritance on riotous living and the one who stayed home and became jealous, self-centered and unforgiving. Dr. McKinley's story about a preacher he once knew had us all "in stitches." We pray that God will help us be more like the Good Shepherd who sought the lost sheep and the Father who loves us and wants us in his fold.

We are very thankful for God's blessings to us here in Huntingdon, Tennessee. We believe God has great things in store for those who diligently seek Him. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
