This morning I had to take care of some personal business. Karen and I continued to make calls about the Breakfast/Brunch planned for raising funds to help needy youth go to youth camp.
One of Jason's friends came to visit for a few days. His name is Adam Boothe. Another one of Jason's friend's grandmother died. This was a sudden death from gastric by-pass surgery. We are saddened that CJ's grandmother has passed on. Jason has been doing work-study now in college and works the late shift for the Security Dept. at Bethel College. Karen and I do not rest well until he gets home and it is usually 1-2 am before he arrives depending on how late he has to work. He may be almost 22 but he is still our little son - we are trying to be less fretful about his being out late.
Karen and I went out of town this afternoon. This was the first day we took off to do anything together since the 6th. We usually take a half day a week to do something together. We traveled some and shopped for groceries and other needed items.
Its just about time for Karen and I to get a way for more than a half-day. We are praying about a time and place. Every healthy marriage needs two-four days away, alone, every few months, with only the spouses to be together and enjoy each other.
