Howard Hughes passed on to be with the Lord. He was a friend of mine and Karen. He ministered in the church for over 45 years (much of it BI-vocational) in evangelistic and pastoral ministry. Karen attended school with one of his sons, Richard. I attended the General Assembly one year with Brother Howard and a son, John. His son Richard is a preacher of the gospel.
Brother Hughes preached a revival at the Waverly, TN church when I pastored there and my mother came to the altar and was restored. What a great time.
Brother Howard had severe diabetes and had one of his legs amputated not too long ago. He was in a Rehab Center in Erin, TN. He no longer is suffering - he is rejoicing in the presence of the Lord in paradise. Pray for the family.
