Today, Karen and I visited with Jenny Sanders, Lori and Rex Warmon and J. E. and Marie Moore. It was a beautiful sunny day with temps in the upper 60's and lower 70's.
Sister Jennie is feeling much better and the edema in her legs has gone down. She continues to request prayer.
Brother Rex is doing better from open heart surgery and will go back to the surgeon in a couple weeks to see if he can get out more and lift more. Sister Lori is continuing to need prayer for strength to wait on Rex and do her work. They both continue to request prayer.
Sister Marie and Brother J. E. are feeling better after going through flu-like symptoms for over a week.
Karen and I prayed with each one. We thank God for His presence and for a time of visitation and ministry in their homes.

UPDATE - FAMILY VISIT
Yesterday evening on our way home from Nashville, Karen and I visited with my Sister, Joyce and her husband Ronnie Hooper. My mother had come to visit her as well and we enjoyed a good visit in her new home, which is located about 1/8 of a mile from the Crossroads church near White Bluff and Claylick (White Bluff and Claylick Church of God of Prophecies merged a few years ago and are really growing together). We enjoyed visiting for about 2 1/2 hours and having supper (we call it supper, it is dinner to some) with her, mom and Ronnie. We had some country vittles (boiled cabbage, vegetable beef soup, Mexican corn bread and hot/warm apple cobbler). Yum, yum it was delicious. We laughed and laughed as we enjoyed this time together.
Joyce shared some about attending the Crossroads church and how great the Lord is blessing there. I am so thankful that the church is doing well there and that Joyce and Stacey (her daughter and children as well) are attending there. Joyce said, "The church is really doing good." Joyce was so excited as she told me about the good things happening there. She even told me that Randy Tidwell (a former school bus driver and elementary teacher when my older daughters were in school at Burns, TN) was there this past Sunday. WOW! What about that????!!!!! Randy and I also attended school together as lads.

Leadership training was the focus of last evening's mid-week service. The areas dealt with were fear, failure and success. We enjoyed a good time of instruction and discussion.

Sister Donna Crossno's son-in-law, Allen, had shoulder surgery. The surgery was a success and Allen is home recovering nicely. Continued prayer is requested for full recovery.
Sister Virginia Davis's surgery went very well and she is recovering at home. She is having pain and needs prayer so she can rest.
Sister Marie and Brother J. E. Moore report that they are feeling some better. Continue to pray as they have had flu-like symptoms.

Sister Virginia Davis is to have surgery on her shoulder today at Jackson General Hospital. We had special prayer for her last night at church. Continue to pray as she enters and goes through surgery.
Cathy Flores and her son Santanna request prayer. They have recently moved into the area and this is a time of adjustment and getting settled. She is the daughter of Sister Susie Reynolds. Lets remember this family in prayer.

100 DAYS OF PRAYER
This is the third week of prayer of the 100 days of prayer as outlined by General Overseer, Bishop R. E. Howard. This weeks focus is for a "Church-Wide Refreshing." Oh how we need the refreshing that comes from God and lifts us into the realm of empowerment that brings the flow of the Holy Ghost in our lives.
Do we still need to take heed to the Holy Ghost's call for repentance. This is what Peter preached on the day or very near the day of Pentecost. Acts 3:19 "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. . ." Surely there will be times of refreshing as we confess the sins and weights in our lives that keep us bound from running the race as we should. . .

What a great time of singing and ministry tonight from the Gospel Singing group By Faith. We are very thankful for the presence of God that we felt so strongly. There were several seekers in the altar tonight as the invitation was given. Thank God that His Son came and that we have access to the Father through the Son. What a glorious time we enjoyed tonight . We appreciate Johnny, Ronnie, and Heather Brown. We do appreciate Johnny's wife who works the sound system.

GREAT TIME AT YOUTH BLAST
What a great time the youth and the youth at heart enjoyed at the Youth Blast on the Northwood drive property tonight.
We were blessed by the singing of Logan Creasy. Logan serves in the Music Ministry at the 24 Church. The church is very near I-24 and is off exit 24 near Pleasant View, TN - thus the name 24 Church. Logan's father, mother and grandfather were present. Logan's grandfather, who Logan favors a lot, served as Minister of Music in his local church for over 40 years. It was a pleasure meeting him and hearing him share the blessings of God in his life.
Thank God for a great time of worship. Logan told the story of the song "It's All About You." I don't remember the names involved but the story goes that at a church in England (I think Matt Redmon was the worship leader) the people were used to great songs, great music ministry and it became a thing where people were there mostly for the singing and the music. One day the Pastor and Worship leader decided there would be no singing for a time, to focus on worshipping God. The Worship Leader just came and read a scripture, made some remarks, explained what they were doing and the Pastor would minister the word. They made sure to tell the congregation why. After about a year of no music the first song they sang was "It's All About You - Jesus." Some of the words in the song go like this. "I'm coming back to the heart of worship and its all about you, its all about you." Another part says, "I'll bring you more than a song. . ." Worship is truly all about HIM!

FISHERS OF MEN FISH FRY - A GREAT TIME OF FELLOWSHIP AND FOOD
What a great time we enjoyed tonight at the Fishers of Men Fish Fry. Thanks to each one who donated and worked hard to make this a success. Brother Leon and Sister Susie Reynolds donated the fish they caught throughout the summer and others gave dessert, drinks, side items and a lot of friendly smiles. What a great time we had tonight. The last count we had, there was almost $600.00 raised and some was still not in. The fish was exceptionally good, some of the best I have ever tasted.

WEDNESDAY EVENING
We thank the Lord for a great service Wednesday evening. Several attended. Jason and three of his friends from Bethel College came. Rob, Aaron and Catalina (from Colombia South America) visited with us from Bethel College. Jason and Aaron sang a special "In Awe Of You." It was good to see these students with us for the first time. We enjoyed the songs by Lori Rivera and Delilah Mummel. God was very present and we thank Him for the closeness of fellowship that we felt.
